What is sunathon?

Sunathon is a circumcision event that derives from the Malay word 'sunat' which means circumcise (khitan, khatan, berkhatan) and a combination of the last word that similar to 'marathon'. It creates a commercially new word which reflects the meaning of large participants in one circumcision event. In other words, it is also can be called as a special circumcision program (khitan) or event which involves medical professionals, medical students local and abroad, as well as the local people.

The program has proved to be not only enjoyable, but also educational to all its participants. Most children of age 7 to 12 years old involves in this circumcision event and, it is also a charity program where doctors, medical practitioner, and students, work together with the community in big occasion.

As a result, this would encourage unity by bridging the gap between family in our community.
